Rose River Memorial
at Christ Cathedral

Following on from our OCMA installation (a big thank you to Cassandra Coblentz and Nalini Sairsingh), we set up the Orange County Rose River Memorial at the Christ Cathedral. For this display, the Garden Grove community has come together to recognize their collective loss and facilitate healing.
The OC Rose River Memorial has provided a community-center, all-abilities, special event designed to encourage families to contribute to the exhibit and heal together. Collaboration with OC Autism Foundation seeks to include all members of Our Community (OC) and to raise awareness about the disability and minority disparities during the pandemic.
Julie Diep of OC Autism Foundation, who has produced the installation, said: “Our community is stronger when we come together for a common cause and lend our support to one another each day, and especially in times of need.” Diep continues to advocate strongly for inclusion and equal access to vaccines, healthcare and education for those living with Autism and other disabilities during the pandemic. The Christ Cathedral is located at 13280 Chapman Ave. in Garden Grove. Thanks to OCMA, the Kiwanis and Burbank Tournament of Roses for their help and support and Yi-Ping Hou.
