As part of the nationwide Week of Mourning program (an initiative of Marked by COVID founder Kristin Urquiza and Cleve Jones the originator of the NAMES AIDS Memorial Quilt), we are hosting a rose making gathering. Make roses, share stories, and see your roses become part of a nationwide memorial to the devastation of COVID19. Join fellow makers as well as members of the Rose River team Allison Saunders, Marcos Lutyens, and Dr Tilly Hinton to learn about the project and make some roses.

Make roses, share stories, and see your roses become part of a nationwide memorial to the devastation of COVID19. This workshop will feature the artist and curator Dr. Marisa Caichiolo who is the founder of Building Bridges International Art Foundation, an international non-profit organization based in Santa Monica, Los Angeles County. The foundation is a platform for critical thinking, and researching; local and international programs in Los Angeles; art residencies; and educational programming.

Thurs 5 November, 9 - 10 am Pacific Time on Zoom

Make roses, share stories, and see your roses become part of a nationwide memorial to the devastation of COVID19. This workshop will feature the artist, producer, choreographer, designer, and tinkerer Bea Martino who crafts multi-sensory experiences and interactive environments that hold space for introspection, emotional processing, and community connection.
